Do I need to leave my current job to join Flexhand?
No. Most operators on Flexhand use it to take extra shifts alongside their main employment. You pick when you're available — Flexhand only matches you to shifts that fit your schedule.
Who is my employer during a Flexhand shift?
Flexhand AG is your employer for every shift booked through the platform. We handle the employment contract, payslips and social insurance contributions. The company at whose site you work is simply the client — not your employer.
How does the shift matching work?
Once your profile is verified, you can browse and apply to open shifts that match your certificates and location. You always choose — no shift is assigned to you without your agreement. The client company approves the match, and Flexhand confirms the booking.
Do I need to be unemployed or looking for a new job?
Not at all. Flexhand is designed for employed operators who want to earn extra income, gain experience at different sites, or build a portfolio of verified work. It's income diversification, not job hunting.
Which certificates do I need?
It depends on the shifts you want to take. Production shifts typically require at least GMP Grade B or C. ADR Basic/Tank is required for logistics roles. Some clients request specific Swissmedic or ICH Q7 experience. The more certificates you hold, the more shifts are open to you.
Is it really free to register?
Yes — creating an operator profile is and will remain free. Flexhand earns a margin from the client company, not from operators.
